At the last election we made you a promise that we would keep your Council Tax low. You put your trust in us and we are delivering on this commitment.
After just a rise in line with inflation (2.1%) and the standard 2% adult social care contribution, Westminster will remain the local authority with the lowest Council Tax in the country.
This means you and your neighbours will continue to pay less than half of what residents pay in Labour-controlled Camden and Brent.
However, the Council also collects the Greater London precept on behalf of the Mayor of London who is increasing his charge by 9%. This is something over which Westminster City Council has no power to stop.
Nevertheless, Westminster City Council has agreed to continue with its Council Tax Support programme to ensure our poorest residents do not pay any Council Tax at all.
In the face of a 50% cut in our funding from central Government, Conservative run Westminster is delivering a balanced budget with no reduction in services to our residents, thanks to efficiency savings and changes in the way we deliver our services.

Westminster Band D £753.85
Brent Band D £1,582.85
Camden Band D £1,562.35
