Your councillors have been in frequent contact with the developers of 40 and 50 Eastbourne Terrace on their proposals for developments including town houses, offices and a hotel, to ensure the impact on residents in Chilworth Mews is acceptable. All existing trees in the mews are to be kept, as part of the plans for 40.
In relation to servicing of the sites during and after construction, councillors and officers are currently supporting the resident group which is concerned about hoardings, deliveries and access contravening the Code of Construction Practice, a condition of planning permission at number 50.
Councillor Antonia Cox said: “It’s important that the developers and contractors listen to what the Community Liaison Group has to say.”
