After working to have free water fountains installed across the West End and launching a campaign to ban single use plastics, Councillor Jonathan Glanz is now urging local businesses to sign up The Refill campaign.
Cllr Glanz said: “The Refill campaign aims to reduce single use plastic bottle pollution and promote healthy lifestyles in towns and cities across the UK by improving access to free drinking water on the go.”
Becoming a Refill station has a number of benefits and you can add your business to the free App by visiting www.refill.org.uk/get-the-refill-app.
Cllr Glanz added: “As a result of my work with officers, colleagues and local stakeholders members of the public can already fill up reusable bottles for free at drinking fountains in Ham Yard and Rathbone Square, but I hope that further fountains will be added in cafes , shops and public buildings across the West End and Westminster as a whole.”
