We spoke with Laila Dupuy and Philip Stephenson-Oliver on Hallfields Estate earlier. Laila and Philip are candidates in next month's local elections in Lancaster Gate ward, alongside sitting councillor Margot Bright.
We asked Laila and Philip to say a few words about their priorities for the community.
Hi, I'm Laila, and I'm Philip, and we're the local candidates for the local elections in May for the Conservatives.
We're just at Hallfield Estate at the moment.
We're both local to the area and we want to save Queensway Post Office from closure. It's really important if you're a small business owner like I am, and we want to keep those bin collections as regular as they are, which is twice a week, which is one of the best in the country.
So we are out every day speaking to residents, and one of the major concerns is an increase in crime, and that will be our priority is tackling crime in the area.
I'm a former criminal prosecutor, I'm also a mother and I'm also local, born and raised and I understand their concerns and I feel them, too.
Of course, we want to maintain the lowest council tax in the country and maintain the special character of Lancaster Gate that's always been run by Conservatives.
Don't forget to vote for Laila and Philip and Margot on the 5th May. Thank you.
