Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (NCIL) funding was approved to pay for specialist lighting in the North Porch Alcoves overlooking Kensington Gardens at the Royal Albert Hall to light the statues of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
This lighting will vastly improve the appearance of the statues, as well as of the building.
Cllr Elizabeth Hitchcock commented, “It’s wonderful that this funding for neighbourhood realm projects will be used to make such a difference to the look of these two very beautiful statues at the Royal Albert Hall, one of the most important landmarks in the Knightsbridge & Belgravia ward”.
