We joined Nickie Aiken, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London and Westminster, in St George's Square in Pimlico with local resident James Spencer. James and many other people in the local area are really concerned about the escalating anti-social behaviour that's taking place in the park.
James Spencer explains,
"On 20 July, we had people break into the park, rip up some of the benches, set fire to a bin and dump one of the cigarette bins into the fountain, which turned the water absolutely putrid.
We've been complaining to the police and to the council for the last year now that anti-social behaviour has been worse in the garden.
It's been small instances of anti-social behaviour, but now they've escalated into the large incident that we saw a couple of weeks ago."
Nickie Aiken MP is supporting the campaign to ask the council to fund a full-time park warden for St George's Square to tackle this anti-social behaviour.
You can find out more and back the campaign here and make sure this is a fantastic park that everybody can enjoy safely and happily.
