Your Bayswater Councillors have received news that the current application for the ‘Paddington Pole’ will be revised. A statement on the developers website says:
“Following high level discussions between the Leader and Deputy Leader of Westminster City Council and Irvine Sellar, Great Western Developments has taken the decision, today, to revise the original proposals for Paddington Place in London including its height.”
This decision means that the application will now not be considered at the Westminster City Council planning committee on 8th March.

Bayswater’s Conservatives Councillors are delighted at this news, achieved after the success of the campaign against the ‘Paddington Pole’ planning development.
Cllr Brian Connell, the first Cllr to publically oppose the development said, “We couldn’t be more pleased: this was the wrong development in the wrong place – I’m just sorry that the application was ever submitted.”
Cllr Richard Holloway added, “Our consultation with residents showed this was massively opposed – and this result just shows how working with our community, SEBRA, and the Skyline campaign can pay dividends.”

At 72 storeys (248 metres high) it would have become London's second tallest building.
