Westminster Council and your local Councillors have succeeded in delaying, pending the outcome of a judicial review, the Cycle Superhighway 11 works at Swiss Cottage which were due to start on Monday 30th July. A High Court judge agreed with us that the Transport for London (TfL) scheme should be delayed until a full court hearing of our case and that TfL had not properly modelled traffic on the effects CS-11 will have especially on the residents in St John’s Wood.
Our case was brought against TfL to protect the amenity of our residents in NW8 and will now be heard on 6th September. We support safe cycling and measures to improve air quality but agree with our residents that the CS-11 project has been ill-conceived and does not take into consideration the real concerns of traffic displacement, increased congestion and poorer air quality.
If you share our concerns, please sign our petition here and encourage neighbours, friends, family and work colleagues to do the same!
