We caught up with the Conservative Leader of Westminster City Council, Rachael Robathan, to update us on the campaign for a short-lets registration scheme.
I'm standing here with Laila Dupuy, one of our great candidates in the Lancaster Gate ward and we've just been in Downing Street with the Cities of London & Westminster Conservative MP, Nickie Aiken, to present a petition calling for much stronger powers around rogue landlords, those short-term let landlords which are really causing a problem.
And we know this is an issue across the whole of Westminster, but particularly in Lancaster Gate, Laila, the area that you're standing in.
Laila Dupuy replied
Yes, I've definitely seen it in areas like Cleveland Terrace, Cleveland Square. I'm out every day talking to residents.
I've spoken to people in Gloucester Terrace and Westbourne Terrace and it causes anti-social behaviour, it causes rubbish dumping and it causes a lot of disturbance to residents, long-term residents.
