In response to concerns raised about the number of coach journeys still taking place on Elizabeth Street, Cllr Rachael Robathan arranged a meeting with TfL and Westminster Council’s Highways officers on site to discuss options.
As a result the Council has agreed to consult on implementing a ban on coaches using the street apart from those needing access.
Cllr Robathan commented "This is a lovely street, but the narrowness of the highway makes it unsuitable for frequent coach movements. In the next few months the Council will launch a consultation to ban these movements and I would encourage everyone to take part and help reduce the weight of traffic on the street."
