Westminster Conservative Group Deputy Leader and Lancaster Gate Councillor, Robert Davis, took part in a special Don’t Be Idle Action Day in Queensway this morning to help improve the city’s air quality.
The campaign was launched by the Conservative-led Westminster city Council last year and to date has asked over 24,000 drivers to turn off their engines and secured over 6,000 people to sign up to its online petition to improve air quality.
Commenting on the action day, Robert said:”we know our residents are very concerned about the quality of air in their neighbourhoods and across the city in general and that’s why we have made tackling it one of our top priorities. I asked a number of drivers myself to turn off their engines during the action day and all were happy to do so”.
